What Are CAMPs?
CAMPs stands for Cellular and Matrix-Based Products, also known as skin substitutes or tissue grafts. These are special medical materials used to cover and support wounds that are slow to heal.
They’re often used for:
Diabetic wounds
Leg ulcers
Pressure sores (bedsores)
Surgical wounds that won’t close properly
Traumatic injuries
CAMPs help protect the wound, reduce inflammation, and encourage your body to grow healthy tissue.
What Are CPTs?
CPTs are codes that doctors use to track treatments and procedures. While patients don’t need to worry about the technical details, CPTs make sure:
Your care is properly documented
Insurance billing is accurate
Your treatment is consistent and well-tracked
